NOVEMBER 2024 RDRC Challenge

Ruck a 5K/3.1 miles in an attempt to preemptively get after those Thanksgiving calories!

Completion certificates and patches will be available for purchase at the end of each FY. It is still free to participate in the challenges though!
Everyone will be allotted 8 individual rucks. It has been brought up that to be a good teammate…you sometimes need to be alone to reflect and that TDYs etc. often take members away from their teams. If you don’t include a partner name on your monthly email, I’ll mark you down for a solo ruck.
Teams will need to send in a screen capture of their tracking data each month. There are MANY free apps that can be used. Remember to send in your team name, the names of your teammates, distance, date completed, and ruck weight (approx is fine). Pictures are also appreciated and will be evaluated and then posted on FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, and this website. Submit your completion info to resolutedefenderruck@gmail.com.

Head out on a 9.11 mile ruck.
This ruck is in honor of those who were killed on or because of the attacks on 9/11. In addition to completing this ruck, I highly encourage you to attend a memorial service and talk with others about this tragic day and the events surrounding it.

Head out on a 3.25 mile ruck.
This ruck is in honor of the men and women who fell during the August 2021 evacuation of Afghanistan. The distance correlates to 13 laps around a standard ¼ mile track. Please take a minute to read the linked news article below for more information on those who were killed.

It’s “Makeup March”! If you’ve missed any monthly challenges, now is your chance to make them up. This year, you’re authorized to do a BEAST DAY. If your body can handle it…you can knock out multiple challenges all at once. No longer do you need to do each challenge on a separate day. Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Ruck ***EXTRA EVENT***
This month (September) I’m encouraging everyone to head out on an EXTRA 5K ruck to bring awareness to suicide prevention. This event is dedicated to the life and memory of SrA David Hardy from the 934 SFS. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t hesitate to ask for help.
